Planning and infrastructure bill receives royal assent
Measures to speed up building included in new legislation
The planning and infrastructure bill has received royal assent. The legislation is a central part of the Labour government’s agenda for speeding up delivery of housebuilding and infrastructure.
Key changes in the what is now the Planning and Infrastructure Act include a new nature restoration fund, which is intended to simplify developer contributions towards nature protection.
