London council aims to build thousands of homes in the next four years
Lambeth council in south London has set out plans to build more than 4,500 homes over the next four years for social and affordable rent and for private sale.
As part of its business plan covering the years 2020 to 2023 the Labour-run local authority said Homes for Lambeth (HfL), its wholly-owned housing development arm, had already started to build 80 homes on two estates in the borough and push ahead with plans to build hundreds more.
