Package will pay to fix complex land issues that have kept site derelict for decades

The government has approved a £121.8m Homes England investment package to transform a brownfield site in the centre of Newcastle which has potential for around 1,100 homes.

Quayside West at Forth Yards has lain derelict for decades, but money has now been approved to fund remediation, groundworks and infrastructure activity, fixing complex land issues that have stalled development on the site.
